Vacation mode

One of the things that made Etsy an appealing platform for selling my quilts is the ability to "turn off" my shop, or go on vacation mode. As some of you know, my two greatest passions these days are quilting and traveling. This seemed like a good way to be able to do both! So here are a couple more quilt pictures until I am back with pictures from Mallorca.  

Halloween quilts

This time of year as the weather starts to cool, I love creating snuggly Halloween and fall-themed quilts. In my sewing room, I'm working on one with the cutest cats depicted as witches and vampires! Starting a small business is HARD

September 2025 Starting a small online business is HARD! I always considered myself pretty tech-literate, but I underestimated the time involved in all the components of a business. When I got my own website I had to build it and rebuild it. I also had to create new social media accounts with the Icebox Quilts name linked to the website. And now I am trying to keep them up-to-date and active. That alone is a challenge for a gal who is kind of private and doesn't use social media much. I've been deciding on logos (see pictures below) and email and registering the business name with the state. And of course, the point of the small business, the Etsy Store! It's a lot. my Etsy store But I am super excited to create new quilts knowing that they can now become part of my product line, and they will bring some color and cheer to someone else. And I am having fun learning new online platforms and becoming a better quilt photographer. And now I'm blogging.... who knows where th...
